Pre-Treatment Instructions (Applicable to Both Peels)
To prepare your skin for the most effective and safe chemical peel experience:

Discontinue use of retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, vitamin C serums, exfoliants, and acne medications.
Do not undergo waxing, electrolysis, laser hair removal, or other exfoliating treatments in the area to be treated.
Inform your provider of any recent cosmetic procedures or history of cold sores.
Let your provider know about any allergies, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or recent illness.

Avoid alcohol and NSAIDs (aspirin, ibuprofen) if possible, as they may increase sensitivity or risk of bruising.
Keep the skin hydrated and avoid any skin-irritating products.

Use a gentle cleanser, hydrating moisturizer, and mineral sunscreen (SPF 30+).

Avoid heavy workouts, heat, or sweating for 24–48 hours post-treatment.
Do not use makeup for at least 24 hours, or as advised by your provider.

VI Peel
The VI Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel with expected peeling and flaking over several days.

Your skin may look red or tan, and feel tight or warm.
Do not wash your face or apply any products for 4 hours after the peel is applied.
After 4 hours, cleanse with the VI Cleanser and apply VI Post-Peel Towelettes as directed.

Peeling typically begins around day 3 and may last up to 7 days.
Use only VI post-care kit products provided (cleanser, moisturizer, SPF, towelettes).
Do not pick or pull at peeling skin, this can cause scarring or hyperpigmentation.
Avoid direct sun exposure and wear mineral SPF 30+ daily, even indoors.
No heavy workouts, sweating, or heat (e.g., saunas, hot showers) for the first 3 days.
Avoid makeup until peeling subsides or as directed.
